

The living and social forces of South Kivu province opposed to any decision to demolish houses built in Mbobero. A village located in Kabare territory around some kilometers of Bukavu.
On the top of which, the New Dynamic of Civil Society in DRC, its structures and personalities launch for an awareness campaign “Tukinge Mbobero”, referred to as “Let’s protect Mbobero” to oppose on new demolishing decisions of houses this Friday april 20th, 2018 and thus sympathize with the victims.
Currently two names are taken out envying those structures: the current vice president of the National Independent Electoral Commission ‘CENI’ Norbet Basengezi Katintima, and the current Governor of South Kivu Claude Nyamugabo.
The first is mostly denounced as the main commissioner of President Joseph Kabila in affording those fences and that he misled this latter according to the organizations.
The second is accused of non assisting hundreds of victims of demolished houses in Mbobero who now are living outside
An awareness campaign called SMS was previously launched using the telephone numbers of these two authorities to warn them about the refusal.
In habitants of Mbobero, located at some Kilometers in the North corner of Bukavu in Kabare territory are in land conflict with the President of DRC, Joseph Kabila Kabange.
Joseph Kabila pretends to have bought a very huge part of that village and accuses the villagers to illegally occupy his land whereas these latter say that the lands belonged to their ancestors, even before Joseph Kabila was born. Others possess the registration certificates.
President Kabila, through the help of security forces and local authorities succeeded to demolish hundreds of houses. A lot of human right abuse caused namely by the presence of the Republic Guard were informed by the NDSCI which carefully follows the case.
